What is the NYL Express Pay Plus Service?

This allows you to make a one-time premium payment on your life insurance policy from your checking/savings account or credit/debit card. You can enroll multiple policies/groups, store payment methods and view your online payment history.

Are there fees for use of the NYL Express Pay Plus Service?

New York Life does not charge fees for use of the NYL Express Pay Plus Service, processing payments or returned payments. Check with your financial institution for information regarding fees they may charge for processing ACH (checking/savings) or credit/debit card payments or returned payments.

How do I sign up for online payment using the NYL Express Pay Plus Service?

There are four basic steps involved in signing up:
  • Click the 'Sign Up' option on the menu.
  • Enter your Policy/Group information: Enter your 8 character Policy/Group number starting with the letter 'B' (Group numbers start with the letter 'G') and your 4 digit Payment Code. Both are located on the back of your bill.
  • Create your login information: Create a User ID, password and secret question/answer and enter your contact information.
  • Log in to NYL Express Pay Plus: Enter the User ID and password that you created. You can then add payment methods and additional policies/groups.

When setting up a payment method, where can I find my financial institution's routing transit number and my checking account number?

The routing transit number can be found at the bottom left hand side of your check. The checking account number is to the right of the routing number. An illustration is provided when adding or modifying an account by clicking Payment Methods on the menu.

What are my obligations to help maintain secure transactions with the NYL Express Pay Plus Service?

You are responsible for maintaining the privacy of your checking/savings account or credit/debit card account information. Furthermore, you need to make sure that you are using an appropriate Web browser. Finally, you should log out and close your browser immediately after you are finished using the Service.

Can I set up more than one payment method to make online payments?

Yes. Just click 'Profile' and 'Methods of Payment' on the menu to add a new checking/savings or credit/debit card account or to modify an existing account.

Do you accept credit card or debit card payments?

Yes, we accept credit/debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo. Please note that this option is only available if permitted by insurance regulations in the Owner's state of residence.

What is Recurring Premium Payment?

Recurring Premium Payment is a convenient option whereby premiums are paid from your credit/debit card account on a recurring monthly or quarterly frequency. Once set up, payment will be scheduled for each premium due date and confirmation will be sent by email. There is no need to log in to make your payment. If a payment is declined, you will be notified by email and postal mail. Please note that Recurring Premium Payment is only available if credit/debit card payment is permitted by insurance regulations in the Owner's state of residence. Also, you will not receive billing notices for policies on which you elect this option.
